Crespin Frost is a Native American indie author who writes thriller and horror short stories and novels. He's co-writing with thriller author Ashby Frost on short stories and novels. Crespin is working on a few horror novels releasing in 2023. Crespin resides with his high school sweetheart wife and their dog Odie in North Central Texas on the popular Lake Texoma. Brennan has pursued Adeline, "Addy," for a year at the cafe where she works as a waitress, continually asking her to go on a date with him, unaware she's a challenge, a conquest for him. Addy finally gives in to his charms and sexy smile, agreeing to join him for a Tuesday afternoon picnic at the local lake. Unbeknownst to Adeline, two of Brennan's college buddies who grew up in their small North Texas town are lying waiting to help Brennan bring their collective fantasies to life. The three friends attack and assault Addy, beating her and then stabbing her repeatedly to keep their secret sealed in blood and silence. Believing Adeline to be dead, the three young men begin boasting about their sexual prowess while Addy quietly listens to them as she pretends to be dead; finally, the men leave, and Addy can crawl to a campsite for help, where 911 is called.
Adeline learns while being questioned in the hospital that her alleged attackers are the sons of the local sheriff, judge, and DA; Addy feels the warmth of dread flow over her body as fear of Brennan and his friends returning to finish what they started. A couple of months pass by when Addy calls the district attorney's office to check on her case; she's tired of living in fear. Addy learns that the evidence in her case is missing, her rape kit has completely vanished, and the photos of her bodily injuries and the crime scene have conveniently disappeared too. Unfortunately, Adeline faces the good ole boy network protecting the three friends from facing charges and prosecution. Addy has finally had enough of the injustice and reaches a level of insanity and visions of murder so gruesome it would make a coroner blush. Adeline makes a decision and searches out the college friends, leaving their corrupt fathers reeling from the vengeance which sought out their sons one by one. The amoral fathers believe their murder suspect to be a recent parolee who had threatened the lives of each of the sheriff, judge, and DA when sentenced to prison.
The corrupt officials find themselves caught in a game of cat and mouse with a relentless killer, destroyed evidence, and the perfect suspect.
